Only One Player Stands for the National Anthem — Thank Him

Details

The Orlando Magic’s 22 year-old forward and ordained minister, Jonathan Isaac, was the only player to stand for the national anthem  before Friday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.  He was also the only one not to wear a Black Lives Matter shirt.   The NBA restarted on Thursday and Jonathan Isaac is the only NBA player out of the first three games of the NBA season to stand for the national anthem!

According to the Daily Mail:  Pressed on why he chose to stand, he replied: ‘I felt like it was a decision I had to make, and I didn’t feel like putting that shirt on and kneeling went hand-in-hand with supporting black lives.’

He said his strong faith guided his decision.

‘For me, my life is supported through the gospel of Jesus Christ. All lives are supported through the gospel,’ he said.

‘Everyone is made in the image of God and we all share in His glory.”  He said he was praying during the anthem.

Isaac is sure to be pressured from the NBA, owners and players to join “the cause.”
