Important Penncrest School Board Meetings This Week

Details

This is being sent to all Crawford County residents.  If you don’t live in Penncrest School District, but know someone who does, please forward this to them.  No matter what school district you live in, it is extremely important that if you have conservative members on your school board, you need to let them know that you support them!

Penncrest School Board Meetings this week:

Monday (February 13th) meeting at 7:00 p.m. at Cambridge Springs High School (641 Venango Avenue, Cambridge Springs) —  Issues to be covered:

Cambridge Springs and the surrounding area has been plastered with “Save Our Schools” signs, why?  Apparently liberal school board member Jeff Brooks has posted on his Facebook page that the board will be considering the closure of schools and consolidation of sports at tonight’s board meeting.  This is not true!  They will simply be presented a long-term facility study.

School board member Jen Davis abruptly resigned at last month’s school board meeting and the board will be interviewing potential replacements for her tonight.  The list of candidates and their applications are only to be known in advance to board members, but “somehow” the list ended up on the school district newspaper’s Facebook page!  Hmm!!

Thursday (February 16th) meeting at 7:00 p.m. at Cambridge Springs High School (641 Venango Avenue, Cambridge Springs)

Action Steps

  1. It appears that most on the list of school board candidates are liberals, so pray that the board has discernment as they conduct interviews and vote tonight.
  2. Plan to attend the Penncrest school board meetings this week. If you can only make one meeting, please plan on attending tonight’s meeting at 7:00 p.m. at Cambridge Springs High School.
  3. Since the votes last month to allow participation on sports teams based on the sex listed on the student’s birth certificate and the removal of sexually explicit books from the district’s libraries, those who voted for the policy changes have been harassed, threatened and demonized by misled students, the press and even some colleagues.  Pray for their safety and wisdom.
  4. Elections have consequences!  Those who voted against the policy changes are Theresa Croll, Jennifer Davis and Timothy Brown.  Jeff Brooks was absent, but has very publicly declared his opposition to the policy changes.  Keep in mind Brown and Brooks are up for re-election this year!
