It’s called ‘merit selection of judges,’ but it would take away your ability to vote for PA Supreme, Superior and Commonwealth Court judges. How would those judges be chosen? The Governor would get to choose from a list handed him by a 13-member panel and then confirmed by a simple majority in the PA Senate. HB 111 would do just that and it’s in the House Judiciary Committee right now!
