News Release – AFA of PA Joins Coalition Urging FCC to Evaluate TV Ratings System

In a letter addressed to Federal Communications Commission Chairman Tom Wheeler and each FCC Commissioner, the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide pro-decency organization, joined the Parents Television Council and 26 other organizations and individuals concerned about the media’s impact on children urging the Commission “to take immediate steps to evaluate whether the existing age-based television content ratings system is serving the needs of parents and families.”

Blog Post – DOJ Simply Reinterprets Law

Let’s face it, except in extremely rare cases everyone is born with either male or female genitalia. For a man to think he is a woman or vice versa was considered a mental disorder — until homosexual activists took over the American Psychological Association (APA) in the early 1970’s and even then gender identity disorder was listed as a mental disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM). In 2013 all that changed when DSM V removed ‘gender identity disorder’ and replaced it with ‘gender dysphoria’ saying “Replacing “disorder” with “dysphoria” in the diagnostic label is not only more appropriate and consistent with familiar clinical sexology terminology, it also removes the connotation that the patient is “disordered.” Okay . . . so the APA no longer views men who think they are women and vice versa as having a mental disorder – they were simply born that way and we have to celebrate them for “being true to themselves”!

Today is the 65th annual National Day of Prayer. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. In 1988, the law was amended and signed by President Reagan, permanently setting the day as the first Thursday of every May. Since the first call to prayer in 1775, when the Continental Congress asked the colonies to pray for wisdom in forming a nation, the call to prayer has continued through our history, including President Lincoln’s proclamation of a day of “humiliation, fasting, and prayer” in 1863.
