News Release – World Vision Has Lost Its Vision

World Vision’s announcement yesterday to allow “gay Christians” who are legally “married” to work in the US branch is wrong and, whether they want to acknowledge it or not, places them right in the center of the same-sex “marriage” debate. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) is very disappointed in the path World Vision has decided to go as they turn their back on Jesus’ definition of marriage as only between one man and one woman. Action Alert – Has Your Municipality Taken The Necessary Steps?

An ongoing battle is being waged in the city of McKeesport in Allegheny County. Their city council was caught without the proper ordinances to fully regulate sexually oriented businesses. A recently purchased store front is poised to reopen as the Saints and Sinners Gentlemen’s Club. The planned Valentine’s Day opening did not happen, but they continue to work on renovations, as resistance against the business continues to grow.

News Release- Will PA Legislature Follow Facebook’s Lead?

Almost 100 legislators have signed onto bills in the State House and State Senate that would add “sexual orientation and gender identity or expression” to the PA Human Relations Act. These bi-partisan bills (HB 300 and SB 300) are very misleading and most legislators, nor the general population, understand the full impact passage of such a law would have on Pennsylvania citizens. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), in an effort to educate the sponsors of these bills, has contacted them with a simple question: “Last month Facebook added over fifty additional gender identities to their gender options. If a bill you support, HB 300/SB300, becomes law will these also be included as protected classes under the “Gender Identity or expression” component of the bill?”

Action Alert-Ask State Legislators to Oppose HB/SB 300

It should be noted here that judges have pointed to a state’s “non-discrimination” law in their decision to throw out a state’s marriage law or constitutional amendment protecting marriage. So, yes . . . these laws can have a profound ripple effect, if passed.

The end of February, homosexual activists and their allies targeted State Reps and State Senators putting pressure on them to support the bills. It’s now our turn!

Action Alert – Thank Senators Casey and Toomey

1.) On Monday the US Supreme Court announced they would not hear the case involving the German homeschool family, the Romeike’s, who had been granted initial asylum until the Obama Administration intervened. Less than 24 hours later the Department of Homeland Security contacted the Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) and announced they were granting the Romeike’s indefinite deferred action status.

2.) Today the nomination of Debo Adegbile to head the Department of Justice’s Office of Civil Rights was rejected by the US Senate by a vote of 47-52.
