The US Supreme Court decided that a baby’s life was worthless and, in one fell swoop, took away the rights of states to ban abortion. University of Pennsylvania’s Will “Lia” Thomas made waves—both literally and figuratively – in the world of sports when he overturned every women’s swimming record in the country. Will Thomas, swimming as a male for the men’s team, went from a ho hum swimmer ranking in the men’s 200 freestyle in the mid-500’s and 462 overall. However, swimming as Lia Thomas he entered NCAA Champs ranked No. 1 among women. This is but one example of many, but it appears the sporting world may be waking up.
