News Release: US Supreme Court Chooses to Save Babies in the Womb

In a split decision, the United States Supreme Court (SCOTUS) refused to block the Texas heartbeat bill, which prohibits abortions after a baby’s heartbeat can be detected. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocacy organization, applauds the decision in protecting babies in the womb. Unfortunately, the country once again saw “conservative” Chief Justice John Roberts side with the liberal justices in their dissent.

The Independent Regulatory Review Commission (IRRC) will hear testimony today for and against Pennsylvania entering the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). Governor Wolf wants us part of this initiative by next year — will it happen?? Today’s hearing will determine the answer to that question!

The Left continues to try to “save the planet” by infringing on the rights of humans through limiting their activities or taxing them into poverty. Governor Wolf is trying desperately to have Pennsylvania join the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative or RGGI. Already Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia are part of the RGGI, All those states are part of the initiative, so it must be good right?? Wrong!

Taxing us into poverty seems to be the plan! Governor Wolf is planning to impose a cap and trade tax on energy producers with a nameplate capacity equal to or greater than 25 megawatts and guess who gets to pay for that increase?? You and me — consumers across PA as we are faced with higher energy costs.
