A& E Comes to Its Senses and Reinstates Phil Robertson

(Harrisburg) —  For more than a week A&E has been inundated with demands that they reinstate the patriarch of “Duck Dynasty,” Phil Robertson.   He fell victim to political correctness because of his willingness to speak the truth about the sin of homosexuality.  According to the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), Robertson’s statements were hate-filled and “homophobic.”  Pressure from GLAAD contributed to A&E’s decision to indefinitely suspend Robertson.  The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA) is pleased that A&E has reversed its decision and reinstated Phil Robertson to the program.

“What we saw with Phil Robertson is the same thing we saw with Chick-fil-A last year — homosexual activists and their allies going ballistic because a well-known business owner stands on what Scripture says about marriage and homosexuality.  Phil Robertson and Dan Cathy’s  comments were not hateful nor judgmental, they simply spoke the truth and left the judging up to God.  However, that is more than homosexual activists can stand and their true colors were again shown with this most recent attack on Phil Robertson,” noted Diane Gramley, President of the AFA of PA.

Homosexual activists and organizations like GLAAD are trying to silence Christians who believe the Bible is true.  In their efforts to legitimize their dangerous lifestyle,  they will bully anyone who stands in their way.  GLAAD’s efforts to “encourage” networks to include a disproportionate number of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender characters in television programming is very telling of their willingness to distort the data on the number of LGBT Americans — 3.4%.   This distortion deliberately misleads Americans.

“The only hatred displayed since the online release of the GQ   interview with Phil Robertson was from homosexuals and groups like GLAAD.  Their MO is to bully those who do not embrace and celebrate the homosexual lifestyle.  The Robertson family was not about to be bullied and tens of millions of Americans rallied in support of them.  Americans with deeply held religious beliefs that engaging in homosexual acts is sinful are waking up to the fact that they are being targeting by homosexual groups and they are standing up and saying ‘Enough is enough,”  concluded Gramley.
