Homosexual Activists Target Another Pennsylvania Business
(Harrisburg) — Recently a homosexual attended an event at The Star Barn in Lancaster County, then went on the venue’s website to discover their “Core Values” which included “We provide marriage-related services as ordained by God’s Word, the Holy Bible, that are consistent with the written truth that marriage is the union of one man and one woman.” He was “appalled” and posted his opposition on social media, which in turn caused a firestorm, the cancellation of the annual meeting by Lancaster County’s tourism group, Discover Lancaster, and a protest! The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), a statewide advocate for natural marriage, has contacted David Abel, of Stone Gables Estate, the “stewards/caretakers of Ironstone Ranch and The Star Barn Village” to thank him for his Biblical stand on marriage.
“The AFA of PA applauds the strong Biblical stand that David
Abel has taken on marriage. To attack a
new business in the county because of the owners’ belief that is shared by the
majority of Lancaster County residents is disturbing. This is yet another example that homosexual
activists’ true intention was not the ‘right to marry,’ but the demand that all
celebrate their lifestyle choice. Just
the fact The Star Barn served a homosexual at an event shows they do not
discriminate against them, but they draw the line at participating in so-called
same-sex marriage,” noted Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.
Homosexual activists and legislators will use this to push for the passage of a
bill to add “sexual orientation and gender identity or expression” to the PA
Human Relations Act.
“Lancaster County is considered one of the most conservative counties in the Commonwealth, yet this controversy is taking place there. Homosexual activists seek to pressure The Star Barn and all Christian-owned business owners to put aside their strongly held beliefs that homosexuality is against God’s will and comply with their demands. Who would have believed religious liberty would be under attack in Amish Country?” Gramley concluded.
