Today the Boy Scouts Will Receive 300,000 ‘No’ Votes!

Details

As you probably have heard, yesterday the Boy Scouts of America reaffirmed their ban on allowing open homosexuals as leaders and members.   The AFA of PA commends them for their continued efforts in protecting the boys in their charge.  Click here for our news release.

Yesterday homosexual activists blasted the decision, calling it a “missed opportunity.”  Today the fallout begins!  Several weeks ago a petition was placed on change.org urging the Scouts to abandon the policy.  They report more than 300,000 people have signed the petition and they plan on delivering it to Scout headquarters in Irving, TX today.

So, do we support the Scouts’ decision?  Please read our news release   for some startling statistics!  The Boy Scout policy is right.  They recognize the problems they’ve already had and know a change in policy would increase that problem.

Action Steps

1.)  Email Scout Chief Executive Bob Mazzuca here   Message:  I want to thank you and the 11-member special committee for making the right decision and keeping the ban on homosexuals serving.  Thank you  for their commitment to doing what is best for young boys and for living out the Scout Pledge.

2.)  Pray for Scout leadership as the bullying and harassment against them will intensify with this decision.  According to the Associated Press, ”  . . . members of the national executive board — Ernst & Young CEO James Turley and AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson —  have recently indicated they would try to work from within to change the policy. Both of their companies have been commended by “gay”-rights groups for homosexual-friendly employment policies.  Stephenson is on track to become president of the Scouts’ national board in 2014, and will likely face continued pressure from homosexual-rights groups to try to end the exclusion policy.”
