This picture is of the temporary memorial that memorialized the heroes of Flight 93. It is much more meaningful and heartfelt than the government built memorial as people from all over the world came and left handwritten notes, stuffed animals, baseball caps, small tokens of love and gratitude. A local church donated the cross, which strangely enough the Park Service “lost”. Local “ambassadors” manned the site and explained to visitors what took place in the skies of northwestern PA on September 11, 2001.
