Both Senator Casey and Toomey Vote Right on One and Then Casey . . . .
Details
On Tuesday both our US Senators voted for advancing HR 36 — the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Unfortunately, the 60 vote threshold was not reached and the measure was blocked by pro-abortion Senators by a vote of 54-42.
However, two days later Senator Casey voted ‘Nay” on Senator Thad Cochran’s amendment to the continuing resolution (CR) that would have blocked Planned Parenthood funding for one year. This went down in flames with eight pro-abortion Republicans joining all Democrats, except Senator Joe Manchin (WV) who voted “yea,” to see that the amendment did not reach the 60 vote threshold.
