Ask Senators Casey and Toomey to Oppose the Nomination of Robert Wilkins
Details
Robert Leon Wilkins is the only D.C. Circuit nominee with a judicial record. Therefore, it is easy to make the case that he will be an activist on the D.C. Circuit Court because that is exactly what he has been on the D.C. District Court.
Judge Wilkins has a history of legislating from bench against Second Amendment gun rights, Voter ID laws, law enforcement, etc. In addition, perhaps the most ominous item in Wilkins’ record is his long-term leadership role with Union Temple with all of its anti-Semitic, racist, and hate group ties.
A few examples:
- Wilkins Is a Leader with Union Temple Whose Declared “Teacher” and “Leader” is the Head of the Klan-Like “Nation of Islam,” Minister Louis Farrakhan.
- Wilkins Remains at Union Temple Despite the Fact that The Temple Hosted Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Hosts Farrakhan Near Annually Since 1977, and Hosted the Re-Birth of the Klan-Like Nation of Islam.
- Wilkins Remains a Follower of Willie Wilson at Union Temple for Twenty-Two Years While Wilson Says that “White Churches” and “White Preachers” Teachings Enslave “Our People.”
- Wilkins Remains at Union Temple Even After Farrakhan Declared at Union Temple that Racist “Elijah Muhammad” is “The Messiah.”
- Wilkins Remains at Union Temple Even After Farrakhan Declared from the Pulpit that “White America” is “The Enemy.”
- Wilkins Remained at Union Temple Even After Farrakhan Declared at Union Temple that “America is No Good at All” and Criticized Negroes for Meeting with “Highfalutin White Folk”
- Wilkins Held that American Citizens do not Have the Right to Purchase Firearms for Self-Defense if Their Primary Residence is Not in the United States.
- Wilkins Held in Texas v. Holder that a Texas Voter ID Law Was Invalid Because It Would Result in Retrogression in the Position of Minorities for them to Produce Identification.
- Wilkins Held in Wesby v. District of Columbia that Police Officers Had No Immunity and Were Individually Liable for Nearly $1 Million for Arresting Illegal Prostitution Partiers.
- Wilkins Organized Students, Including Michelle Obama, Who Occupied the Harvard Law Dean’s Office and Issued Demands, Including a Demand that Derek Bell be Named The Dean.
Senators who vote for him do so with their eyes wide open and in full embrace of his radical record against the Second Amendment, Voter ID, and his ties to an anti-semitic, racist, hate group.
