Did You Pray?
Details
Yesterday was the National Day of Prayer. Did you pray for the United States of America? We are a nation in need of prayer — much prayer. Even though one day is set aside to specifically pray, we need to pray for the US every single day. One perfect example of our great need is the Left’s response to the leaked draft opinion from the US Supreme Court. Justice Alito had to cancel a public appearance because he had received a death threat. Protestors plan on descending on the homes of the five conservative justices’ homes today. People – for and against Roe — have gathered outside the Supreme Court building ever since the leak.
As we watch or read the news stories, there is no doubt we are a nation in much need of prayer.
My favorite verse calling a nation to prayer is II Chronicles 7:14 which says, “If my people, who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
The 2022 theme was “Exalt the Lord who has established us” – Colossians 2: 6-7
Specific things to pray for

- Families
Action Steps
Our nation has a long history of designating National Days of Prayer — in 1775 the Continental Congress proclaimed the first National Day of Prayer. Pray daily for America. God has not changed, but we’ve become too self-reliant and less reliant on Him. That needs to change!
