Vote on Joint Resolution:  The PA Constitution Says This Concerning Special Sessions

Details

Over the weekend Speaker of the House Bryan Cutler said there was not enough time to vote on the joint resolution introduced by members of the State House and State Senate on Friday in an effort to reclaim their constitutional authority outlined in the US Constitution and to call into dispute the results of the November 3 election.  However, the PA Constitution says something different!  Article II, Section 4  says, “Special sessions shall be called by the Governor on petition of a majority of the members elected in each House . . . .”

Today the resolutions were formally filed:   Senate Resolution 410  and  House Resolution  1094

Since the GOP controls both the State House and the State Senate, they can petition Governor Wolf for a special session in order to vote on the resolution disputing the November 3rd election.   If such a demand is made by the majority, Governor Wolf MUST allow a Special Session to take place!!   Our republic hangs in the balance!

Listen to my interview with Bob Marshall, former member of the VA House of delegates, here  as we discuss the legal actions that President Trump can still take in PA.

Action Steps

  1.  Continue praying . . . pray that enough legislators will have the courage to do the right thing.
  2. Contact your State Senator and ask him or her to demand Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman use Article II, Section 4 of the PA Constitution in order for a Special Session to be held.
  3. Contact your State Rep and ask him or her to demand Speaker of the House Bryan Cutler use Article II, Section 4 of the PA Constitution in order for a Special Session to be held.
  4. Call, as well as email them.  You can find your legislator’s email and phone number here  — just enter your address.     Here’s sample language:  The republic hangs in the balance and Article II, Section 4 of the PA Constitution must be utilized in order for a Special Session to be held.  The joint resolution introduced on Friday is an effort for the legislature to reclaim the constitutional authority they ceded in 1938.  The US Constitution gives the legislature the sole authority to choose electors and that authority must be reclaimed by the PA legislators. The resolution calls into dispute the results of the November 3rd election results.   A Special Session would allow for a vote on the joint resolution to take place.  As your constituent, I support this resolution and urge you to support the effort for a Special Session to be held.
