Does Your School Board Agree with the National School Board Association?

Details The leaders of the National School Board Association (NSBA) want the DOJ and the FBI to investigate parents who confront school board members on controversial issue such as Critical Race Theory, mask mandates, offensive material, transgender bathroom policies, etc., etc.   The NSBA wants the feds to use “the Gun-Free School Zones Act, the PATRIOT Act, the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, the Violent Interference with Federally Protected Rights statute, the Conspiracy Against Rights statute, an Executive Order to enforce all applicable federal laws” as they investigate concerned parents’ actions at school board meetings.  Here’s the full NSBA letter requesting help.

The letter cites several incidents that have occurred at school board meeting across the country.  One incident cited on page 4 of the letter mentions a Loudon County, VA school board meeting where a dad, Scott Smith, was arrested back in June. The NBC article fails to mention that Mr. Smith’s daughter was raped in the school bathroom by a boy wearing a dress and after being confronted by an LGBTQ activist during the meeting, who accused his daughter of lying, they had words.   That resulted in Mr. Smith being hit in the face, handcuffed and dragged out of the meeting by police.  Here are more details about what actually happened.

The NSBA letter asking for DOJ and FBI assistance was signed by NSBA President Dr. Viola Garcia and NSBA interim executive director and CEO Chip Slaven, both new to their positions.  However, evidence has surfaced that the National Education Association has recently donated to the NSBA and NSBA leaders have ties to the Democrat Party.

The president of the nation’s second largest teachers’ union, the American Federation of Teachers fully endorses the DOJ’s move to crack down on concerned parents.  So . . . teachers’ unions and Democrats are behind the letter!

Action Steps

The NSBA letter was written “On behalf of our state associations and the more than 90,000 school board members . . . .”   Does your school board agree with this letter and view parents who don’t agree with them as domestic terrorists?

Questions you need to ask your school board:

  • Does the board agree with the NSBA that federal law enforcement is required to maintain order at the local school board meetings?
  • Does the board agree with the NSBA that concerned parents should be labeled as ‘domestic terrorists’?
  • Is this board a member of the PA School Board Association and/or National School Board Association?  If so, how much are the dues, conference fees, and other expenses associated with membership in the PA School Board Association and/or National School Board Association?
  • Does the NSBA letter represent the views of this board?
