His opponent, Florida’s Daniel Webster and Freedom Caucus choice to succeed Speaker John Boehner, said on Wednesday he opposed the Boehner-Obama budget deal. In today’s final floor vote for Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan is expected to get the 218 votes needed to ascend to the Speaker’s chair.
