An amendment offered by Senators Collins (R-ME) and Gillibrand (D-NY) to the NDAA was never brought to the floor for a vote. They, along with Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) and Senator John McCain (R-AZ) have now introduced a stand-alone bill which would permit transgenders to serve in the military.

Sixteen years ago today America was attacked. We were caught unawares, believing we were safe from a major attack – protected by oceans on both sides.
