Action Alert – Senate State Government Committee to Vote on Parental Rights bill
Parental rights should be considered fundamental, but increasingly we see attacks leveled at those rights. On October 24 another hearing will be held on the Parental Rights Protection Act – SB 996 — in the Senate State Government Committee. A vote is anticipated.

The AFA of PA and other pro-family organizations have been fighting the formation of gay straight alliance or GSA’s in schools for years. We were always told they were simply there to give LGBT students a place to be themselves without condemnation. But we always saw that as a foot in the door for the entire LGBTQ agenda – teachers providing “safe spaces” for those students allowing them to be further indoctrinated into believe the lie that they were born homosexual and now the further destructive lie that they were born in the wrong body. We saw GSA’s bring in the Day of Silence, National Coming Out Day, activism to ‘convince’ the school board to change policies and then it went down into the middle schools with Mix It Up Day. But who is funding this effort?

The Biden Administration’s Department of Education is determined to redefine the word ‘sex’ in Title IX to include ‘sexual orientation and gender identity’. Title IX, which was signed into law in 1972, was originally designed to provide girls and women with equal access to sports and other opportunities. It regulates every public K-12 school, college and university in the nation, prohibiting discrimination “on the basis of sex.” Title IX celebrated it’s 50th anniversary on June 23rd of this year, but there is a concerted effort to completely redefine its purpose.
