AFA of PA ACTION ALERT

Wells Fargo is Not Alone
Details
Wells Fargo has been in the news a lot recently. They aired an ad featuring two lesbians and Franklin Graham announced the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will remove its money from Wells Fargo and deposit it in a North Carolina bank. Of course, homosexual groups are accusing him of trying to stir up Christian conservatives leading up to the Supreme Court marriage ruling. However the national office of the AFA has been warning Christians about Wells Fargo since 2003 and Focus on the Family, under Dr. Dobson’s leadership, decided to bank elsewhere back in 2005.
In addition to the ad, Wells Fargo was one of over 300 corporations that signed an amicus brief opposing traditional marriage. Check out the complete list of Corporate Signers of SCOTUS Brief to the US Supreme Court. Of that group, three were sports teams — New England Patriots, San Francisco Giants and Tampa Bay Rays– forty were law firms, and thirty-nine were homosexual groups.
Wells Fargo has been a sponsor of the Philadelphia Gay Pride Parade and is again this year. In 2012 the Wells Fargo stagecoach marched in the parade.
Action Steps
It’s time for Christians to make some important changes in where they do business. As corporations make profits off our decisions, they in turn use those profits to undermine the American Way. As you look through the list of signers to the amicus brief in the document linked above, you may want to consider not doing business with them.
Even if you aren’t a Wells Fargo customer, please contact them and express your dissatisfaction with the lesbian ad. The general number is 1-800-869-3557. If you want to contact a Wells Fargo near you, click here to find that location. There are 273 Wells Fargo banks in PA.
